Sweet And Sour Meatballs


Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Meatballs:

 
1 lb            hamburger
2 tsp.         onion flakes
1/2 cup    bread crumbs
1                egg
Salt& pepper to taste
 

1.   Mix together in a large bowl.
2.   Shape into balls by rolling in your hand.
3.   Bake in the oven until brown.
4.   About ½ hour.
5.   Drain the fat and add to sauce.

 

Sauce:


2 cups     brown sugar
2 tbsp.     flour
½ cup     vinegar
¼ cup     water
2 tbsp.     Soya sauce
1 tbsp.     ketchup

 

1.   Put flour and sugar in a sauce pan.
2.   Stir well and add all other ingredients. Stir over medium to high heat until boiling.
3.   Then add to meatballs in a casserole dish.
4.   Cover and bake in the oven 350 for  20 minutes.

I usually serve over rice but some prefer potatoes.

* double recipe with more then a 1lb of hamburger.
